Moving Ajax

Ajax is a town in Durham Region in Southern Ontario, Canada, situated in the eastern piece of the Greater Toronto Area. 

The town is named for HMS Ajax, a Royal Navy cruiser that served in World War II. It is around 25 kilometers (16 mi) east of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario and is circumscribed by the City of Pickering toward the west and north, and the Town of Whitby toward the east. 

In 1945, with the end of D.I.L., there was no industry inside the town, however in 1949, Dowty Aerospace began activities in Ajax. By 1969, significant managers included Volkswagen Canada, DuPont, Paintplas, Ajax Textile, AEG Bayly Engineering and numerous others. 

Shopping was practically non-existent during the 1940s, however by 1970 significant malls, for example, Ajax Plaza, Harwood Place Mall and Clover Ridge Plaza were built. The 1980s saw a development of retail shopping centers to incorporate Discovery Bay Plaza, Transit Square, Baywood Plaza, Westney Heights Plaza and most as of late the Durham Center at Harwood Avenue and Kingston Road. But moving has made it easy by ajax movers which makes many tasks easy.

The 1970s saw the start of numerous actual changes to the essence of Ajax. New regions spread over empty land in focal Ajax. The mid 1980s carried broad advancement toward the southern piece of Ajax with huge, upscale lodging units built along Lake Driveway. 

The downturn of the mid 1980s didn't stop private improvement in Ajax. Westney Heights began north of Highway 2 and offered home purchasers low loan fee contracts while financing costs were then at an unsurpassed high of 18% to 20%. Improvement north of Highway 2 extended from Church Street in Pickering Village to Harwood Avenue, with the Millers Creek advancement south of the thruway down to the edge of Highway 401.
