Sorel-Tracy is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada and the geological end purpose of the Champlain Valley at the intersection of the Richelieu River and the St. Lawrence River, on the western edge of Lac Saint-Pierre downstream and east of close by Montreal. Sorel-Tracy is inside 75 kilometers (47 mi) of both Montreal and Trois-Rivières, and is effectively available through Autoroute 30 from the west and by means of Route 132 from the east and west. Autoroute 30 stops at Sorel and gets again at Bécancour, leaving an inadequate portion in the middle.
